Advice

I Recommend to spend as little time in Bangkok as possible.

- 1 night to recover from the jet lag and 2 full days to explore (3 nights total).

Ignore TUK TUK drivers advice on special offers for Thai new year or that the Emerald Buddha Temple is closed it's a scam to bring you to commission based temples for them.

Use the Grab app for metered taxis around Bangkok quick, cheap and easy like uber.

Some temples require you cover your shoulders/legs so get some cheap Thai pants on the streets for 100THB if you don't wish to wear/rent a 'used' one.

You must wear formal attire to visit the Sky Bar (Famous from the Hangover Movie).

- There is no entrance fee but you must purchase a drink.

- Best time to visit is the evening.

Do all your shopping in Bangkok as on the islands they don't drop prices as easy.

- Toiletries/Suncream

- Souvenirs

- Clothes/Towels/Shoes

Hostel near Bangkok Airports if you only stay one night in Bangkok.

- Refill Now 300THB (9€) a night.

- Taxi to airport 250-300THB from this hostel.

Wat Pho - Bangkok

Kanchanaburi

Stayed Near: River Kwai

No.25 Cafe & Hostel 250THB (7€) a night

2 Nights

- Bus From Bangkok to Kanchanaburi 150THB (Booked on 12go Asia)

Itinerary

  • Explore War Cemetery & Museum

  • Walk on Death Railway Bridge

  • Day Trip to Elephant World 2,500THB

Advice

I Recommend staying 1 extra night in Kanchanaburi to visit the Earwan National Park.

You can get a public bus for 50THB and the entry fee is 300THB.

Also Taxi to the bus terminal in Bangkok is 250THB so try book the bus from your hostel including transfer to bus terminal to save money.

Shared taxi from Kanchanaburi to hostel/hotel would be 100THB per person.

Elephants World - Kanchanaburi

Koh Samui

Stayed Near: Bophut (Quiet Area) & Chaweng (Tourist Area)

US Hostel 360THB (10€) a night (Bophut)

Ubox Hostel Samui 350THB (10€) a night (Chaweng)

4 Nights (2 nights in each)

- Mini Bus from Kanchanaburi to Bangkok 150THB (incl Hostel pickup)

- Flight From Bangkok to Koh Samui

Itinerary

  • Rent a scooter for the day 200THB (40THB for Gasoline)

  1. Wat Plai Laem Temple Free Entry

  2. Wat Phra Yai Temple Free Entry

  3. Secret Buddha Garden 80THB Entry Fee

  4. Namuang Waterfall Free Entry 20THB for Parking

  5. Hin Ta and Hin Yai

  • Relax on Chaweng/Lamai Beach

  • Explore the Nightlife near Ark Bar

Advice

I Recommend spending 3 nights in either Chaweng or Bophut which ever your preference of area would be.

It's much cheaper to rent a scooter for the day than to do the Land Tours in Koh Samui as listed above.

Also learning to be comfortable on a scooter is best practiced in Koh Samui as roads are very good and traffic is mild.

I would fly to Surat Thani Airport from Bangkok and get a ferry to Koh Samui as it would be a lot cheaper but longer travel time.

I Had to get a metered Taxi from bus terminal to Bangkok Airport that cost 250THB.

You can get the Metro but if your stuck for time taxi is the best option.

Shared Taxi from Airport/Pier would be 100/200 THB per person to hostel/hotel in Koh Samui.

Naming Waterfall - Koh Samui

Koh Tao

Stayed Near: Sairee Beach

Taco Shack Hostel 300THB (9€) a night

3 Nights

- Ferry from Koh Samui to Koh Tao 750THB (incl Hostel pickup)

  1. Shark Bay

  2. Hin Wan Bay

  3. Wang Bay

  4. Mango Bay

  5. Nang Yuan Island 100THB Entry Fee

  • Rent a scooter for the day 150THB (40THB for Gasoline)

  • John Suwan Viewpoint 50THB Entry Fee

  • Relax on Freedom Beach

  • Explore the Nightlife on Sairee Beach

Advice

I Recommend spending 3 nights in Koh Tao but be flexible with your plan that you may wish to stay longer.

PADI Diving course available for 11,000THB(350€).

  • Cheapest place in the world to get your PADI license.

  • 3 day course so plan to spend 6 nights in Koh Tao if this is on your list.

Also if your not into diving the Snorkeling trip was the best i done in all of Thailand.

Shared Taxi from Pier in Koh Tao to hostel/hotel would be 100THB per person.

Nang Yuan Island - Koh Tao

Koh Phangan

Stayed Near: Thong Sala Beach

Slumber Party Koh Phangan 470THB (13€) a night

5 Nights

- Ferry from Koh Tao to Koh Phangan 450THB (incl Hostel pickup)

Itinerary

  • Rent a scooter for the day 200THB (40THB for Gasoline)

  • Slip and Fly 700THB

  • Sunset at Amsterdam Bar

  • Jungle Party 800THB For Ticket

  • Full Moon Party 100THB For Ticket

  • Visit Secret Beach and Miami Beach

  • Amazing Snorkeling spot near Secret beach (Haad Son Resort)

Advice

I Recommend 4 nights in Koh Phangan (2 before the Full Moon and 1 after).

If the full moon party is on your agenda plan your trip specifically around the date of the full moon.

You can go from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan on the day of the full moon party for 1000THB you get the boat over in the evening and the boat back that morning.

(its worth staying the few nights)

Shared Taxi from Pier would be 100THB per person to hostel/hotel.

Good-time hostel was another hostel in the same area more chill/social than a party hostel.

Full Moon Party - Koh Phangan

Krabi

Stayed Near: Krabi Town

Pak-Up Hostel 290THB (8€) a night

3 Nights

- Ferry & Bus from Koh Phangan to Krabi 600THB (Booked on 12go Asia)

  1. Kayaking

  2. Rock-climbing

  • Four Island Tour 500THB (400THB Island Entry Fee)

  1. Koh Tup

  2. Chicken Island

  3. Koh Poda

  4. Pranang Beach

  • Wat Tham Suea (Tiger Temple) 20THB Entry Fee

Advice

I Recommend 3 nights in Krabi as it takes 8 hours to get there if traveling from Koh Phangan.

We booked our Ferry & Bus ticket on 12go Asia from Koh Phangan to Krabi Town which included transfer to our hostel. (And prices were cheaper than booking at a travel office).

Transfer to hostel/hotel was only 50THB more per person at bus terminal in Krabi.

4 island tour had some nice beaches but not so great snorkeling would of done Hong Island Tour instead for 1000THB.

Railway Beach - Krabi

3 Nights

- Ferry from Krabi to Koh Phi Phi 350THB (incl Hostel pickup)

  4. Viking Cave

  5. Nui Bay

  6. Maya Bay

  • Phi Phi Viewpoint 30THB Entry Fee

  • Ibiza House Pool Party Free Entry

  • Tourist Muay Thai Fight in Reggae Bar

Advice

I Recommend spending 3 nights in Koh Phi Phi as theres not a lot to see other than the viewpoint and Island tours.

Phi Phi is a party island so all hostels have mixed reviews no hostel is ''Good''. Music is on until 2am everywhere and the hostels are very average but very safe.

Phi Phi is a small island so there is no cars or mopeds your hostel will be a 15 minute walk at most from the pier.

Phi Phi Viewpoint - Koh Phi Phi

Koh Lanta

Stayed Near: Phra Ae Beach

Best Stay Hostel 320THB (9€) a night

3 Nights

- Ferry from Koh Phi Phi to Koh Lanta 350THB

Itinerary

  • Rent a scooter for the day 200THB (40THB for Gasoline)

  1. Nui Bay Beach

  2. Kantiang Bay Beach

  3. Bamboo Bay Beach

  4. Khlong Chak Waterfall 20THB For Parking

  5. Koh Lanta National Park 200THB Entry Fee

  • Four Island Tour 600 THB

  1. Koh Cheuk

  2. Koh Maa

  3. Emerald Cave

  4. Koh Ngai

Advice

A lot of people skip this island but I would recommend staying in Koh Lanta for as long as you need its not a party island so you can relax on the beach or chill in your hostel.

Theres some amazing beaches in Koh Lanta that aren't as busy as other beaches around Thailand and there much cleaner all listed above just rent a moped and check them out.

The 4 island tour was very lame with basic snorkeling but the Emerald Cave was worth the tour itself and its the only way to get to the cave.

Shared Taxi from Pier would be 100THB per person to hostel/hotel. (buy on the ferry).

Ao Nui Beach - Koh Lanta

Phuket

Stayed Near: Karon Beach

  • Big Buddha Phuket Temple Free Entry

  • Karon Viewpoint Free Entry

  • Explore the Nightlife on Patong Beach (Bangla Road)

Advice

I Recommend staying in Phuket for as little as possible.

You can fly from Phuket up North or Bangkok if your planning on leaving Thailand.

- Theres two airports in Thailand so make sure you check which one you arrive in and which one your departing from before booking flights.

Shared Taxi from Pier would be 100THB per person to hostel/hotel (buy on the ferry).

Mini Bus from Karon Beach to Phuket Airport 300THB.

Big Buddha - Phuket
