Advice

I recommend two nights in Kuala Lumpur because you only need one full day to do the Batu Caves in the morning and than Visit the Petronas Twin Towers in the afternoon/evening the same day.

Theres also a shopping centre at the Petronas Twin Towers so you can see them during daylight and grab some food and shopping to pass time for when its night time and there lit up.

Grab taxi from hostel to the Towers was 10MYR and 20MYR to the Batu Caves.

Sleepbox Hostel 33MYR (7€) a night

3 Nights

Itinerary

  • Boh Tea Plantation

  • Strawberry Farm

  • Mossy Forest

Advice

I recommend two nights in Cameron Highlands theres not a lot happening here that you can get the three main spots done in the one day.

If you know your dates that you'll be travelling around Malaysia you can book to visit Taman Negara for jungle trekking and Perhentian Islands for snorkelling and island hopping but you have to book accommodation and transport months in advance if you plan on visiting these places.

There was tour options to visit these advertised in Cameron Highlands but because it was school holidays it was all booked up.

Boh Tea Plantations - Cameron Highlands

Advice

I recommend just spending 2 nights in Penang/George Town to see if you like the feel of the city its very European influenced.

If you stay near love lane thats where the main backpacker area is and lots of western restaurants and bars along there.

Some people only spend 2 nights here and its enough for them where others can spend up to a week here so give yourself some time here.

Advice

Langkawi is another island off the north of Malaysia its very close to Thailand than Malaysia but its part of Malaysia.

This is where I spent the most of my time only because I couldn't get to the Perhentian Islands not by choice.

But there is a lot to do in Langkawi as I listed above it's a popular Malaysian holiday spot so lots of tours available but also you can chill out on the beach or at Dash Resort to just relax.
